Good Luck!

1 09 2007

For all of my 17 years I have been blessed to have a brother, sister, father, and mother to guide me through my life. My parents are both the most caring and loving people you could ever meet, as are my brother and sister. Recently, my brother and sister decided to move out into their own apartments to move on with their lives. Well, now as the time is approaching for both of them to move out, I simply want to wish them both the best of luck. Now that they are moving away I know I cannot walk down the hall anymore to talk to them if I had a problem, if I just wanted to see what they are doing, or to just sit down and talk with them. I know this is not goodbye, but it is separating from both of them more than ever before.

No more having my brother their to guide me in all of aspects of life, something so simple as how to play a little game called “Sega Rally Championship” telling me not to cross the finish line because we will have to end the game and get a shower if we do, or something as serious as how to act and how to make money when I am lazy in the summer, you were also willing to spend your time and money relearning a language just so you could help me do better in school. Also, not being able to talk to my sister as much as before because of her schooling which requires so much of her yet she never gives up, throws in the towel, or says that she can’t do it, she just keeps on going and doesn’t say anything about it while I know she is truly wanting to just have a break so she can relax which they both rarely ever do. It also means I cannot go down to her room right next to mine to see how she is doing or ask for advice. Although I am sad that I am not going to be able to see them as much as I wish I could as when we were younger, now that they are adults, I understand they have to move on with their lives. Soon, my sister will get her masters and many doors will open as she continues to strive to acquire her PhD, you have such motivation that drives you to do anything, your boundaries seem to be endless, and my brother will continue to have all the coolest gadgets under the sun and become more successful than I could have ever imagined.

I still remember the brother who would throw me into pools and would wrestle in the summer while school was out. Their is also the sister who would sing to the N’SYNC and Backstreet Boys albums in her room and the girl who inspired me to play the steel drums. I always looked up to you two and tried to be a little like you both, if I can be only a small percentage of both of you, I would consider myself to be lucky, so with that, like I said earlier, I wish the both of you the best of luck! Love you guys. :)
